Short Bio

Tito started playing guitar at 25 and gained his music education through learning and listening at every opportunity. It's been a journey of teachers, musicians and places that's lead him from New York to San Francisco, London and Sydney. Music has become his life and passion. He knows what it's like to struggle and not know how to make the kind of music you want. He also knows how to transcend that feeling and make the music that you've always wanted to make.

'I play regularly around Sydney as vocalist and lead guitarist for the Chorizo Slim Boogie Blues Band. Check out our facebook page for gig listings. Come check us out - or connect with me through the Academy contact page and start your own journey in music!'

'I live in Edgecliff and I can teach students anywhere from the Eastern Suburbs to the Inner west. I don't have a car so to reach students there needs to be bus or train accessibility (to a reasonable extent) but also I'm a New Yorker so I'm used to walking everywhere and carrying around my guitar. The life of a bluesman!'

'I teach fingerstyle Blues guitar. It's a little different than fingerpicking, but the same concept - no pick, just your hands and the guitar. I've never used a pick - I could never hold on to them. If that's you, then you could have just found your style! What kind of blues? I cover a lot of styles, including: Jump Blues, Swing Blues, Chicago Stye, Juke Joint Boogie Woogie and Rhythm and Blues from the 50's and 60's. I have a deep appreciation of the music and the history of the music and try to learn as many styles as I can.'
